B-WARE! Ladenkino

Located in the east Berlin district of Friedrichschain at the corner of Gartnerstrasse & Boxhagener Strasse. The B-WARE! Ladenkino is on the ground floor of an apartment building. The space was recently in retail use as a media centre renting video games, music and videos. It was still in this use in June 2008.

It was converted into the B-WARE! Ladenkino in 2010. The video rental store part of the building has over 17,000 DVD titles. A sign over the entrance states (in German) “This is Not a Cinema”, as it contains the aforementioned video store, a café, bar, cinema museum with 35mm projectors on display. Films are screened in their original languages, with sub-titles.
