The 1952-56 Theatre Catalog’s included the Major Drive-In, capacity 200 cars, owned by Mrs. Edith Major.

Boxoffice noted on September 10, 1955 that Mrs. Edith Major, who was taking a vacation, “owns and operates the Major Drive-In on Route 24”.

A 1956 aerial photo showed a small drive-in about 2.5 miles west of Paris on US 24. It was still open in 1967. The screen was gone by 1983. Only its driveway, to a couple of small houses, remains today.

The screen foundation is still present. And while there is a building of the same general size, it is not the projection booth as that was gone by 1995.

There is some information that the Major Drive-In was still open in 1967. Its likely that the Major Drive-In was just closed for the season and not permanently. It was already gone by 1983.
