Located in the Five Points West shopping center. With over 800-seats, the single screen Five Points West Cinema opened on April 11, 1969 by Cobb Theatres. The opening movie was Elvis Presley in “Charro!”. It was split up into two screens on November 28th, 1975, renamed Cinema West in 1978 after the Cinema City opened. Cinema West was closed on September 3, 1984 with Kevin Bacon in “Footloose” & Lou Ferrigno in “The Seven Magnificent Gladiators” 1984.

Cinema West closed at the 15-year opt out of its leasing agreement on Labor Day, September 3, 1984 with “Footloose” and “Seven Magnificent Gladiators.”
