Cinemark Waco and XD Theatre

The Cinemark Waco and XD Theatre was the first cinema for the circuit in the Waco market located in the Cottonwood Creek Market. It featured the circuit’s “Luxury Lounger” seating, two XD auditoriums, DBOX immersive seating, and a full bar. The 14-screen theater was part of an entertainment strip that featured a Main Event and Top Golf as key anchors.

The building’s exterior mural was painted by local artist Kalyn Dunks complete with Waco landmarks. The theatre was announced early in 2019 with a proposed Spring 2020 opening which would have timed out with the last Daniel Craig James Bond film, “No Time to Die.” The Cottonwood complex was delayed due to COVID-19. The Bond film was also delayed due to the pandemic. The Cinemark Waco and XD finally opened on October 8, 2021 which coincided with the eventual opening of “No Time to Die” on October 8, 2021.
