The 1913 Sanborn shows another ‘Moving Pictures’ operation in the eastern storefront of this two-story brick structure, which was constructed sometime before 1883. The rear quarter of this building drops to one story. Always used for commercial purposes, the 1906 map shows a grocery store in this space. The Vaudette Theatre was opened by March 1908 when it was operated by the Steadman Brothers and played 7 shows a day. It had closed by 1914.
Unfortunately, later maps are not available online, but the building is in good shape and the half that contained the theatre is today an art gallery.

The 1914-1916 American Motion Picture Directorylists only one theater at Greensburg, a house called the Palace, situated on the north side of the public square. We don’t have a Palace Theatre listed in Greensburg, and the Vaudette is the only house we do have listed that was on the north side of the square. I wonder if there could have been a name change from Vaudette to Palace?
That makes sense. I wish I could get a copy of the 1927 or 1932 maps.
