New movie theater set to open Friday in Denver By David Mullen March 4, 2021 | updated 5 years ago
A new movie theater on Denver’s east side is set to open its doors to moviegoers of all-ages for the first time on Friday.
In accordance to state and local officials, AMC 9+CO 10 will be open to the public at 50% capacity.
AMC’s newest theater is located at 9th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard within the new 9+CO retail and residential complex on the edge of Congress Park and Hale neighborhoods.
AMC 9+CO 10 is the latest addition to the former University of Colorado Health Centers site that has been transformed into a 26-acre urban infill project.
Other recent openings in the area include Postino WineCafe, Cava Grill, Pizzeria Locale, Gelato Boy, M. Vince Nail Spa and TruFusion.
Aside from giving residents a new theater option, AMC 9+CO 10 will offer an abundance of amenities including AMC Signature plush, power recliners with heated seats, online ticketing, reserved seating and ticketless entry, mobile food and beverage ordering options and adult beverages.
Movies scheduled to open Friday include two Disney films “Raya and the Last Dragon” and “Chaos Walking.”
Other movies that will be playing include “Tom & Jerry,” “The Father,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Nomadland,” “The Marksman,” “Land,” “Wonder Woman 1984” and more.
