Kozy Moving Picture House

Variety Store owner John Koen ran movies at the Gorman Open Air Theatre at the Willow Amusement Park in season. He also ran movies at various locations, particularly Odell Hall.

Because of the popularity of movies he rented half a store and established this,“the largest theatre in Salem” in 1908.

This venture was so successful that, over time, he and his brother, William, operated several theatres in and around Salem.

The Kozy Moving Picture House had ceased operation by 1927.
