Bristol Opera House

The Bristol Opera House opened on August 3, 1895 within the Town Hall building of the town of Bristol at 10 Court Street. It lasted until 1934. It was not the same building as the Pastime Theatre, which was on Bradford Street. Entertainments of different types were offered but movies were the predominant entertainment once they arrived.

The building at that address is the Bristol Town Hall. It appears to have been a repurposing of the old theatre, so function should be government, municipal.
