Leroy I. Meyers ran the Gamble Theatre in Seward in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Horror films and westerns were popular along with the big titles. The Gamble Theatre went out of business and the town did not ever have another movie house.

The Gamble had booster ads in the United High School - La Vista Shamrock Yearbook (Armagh, PA) in 1952 and 1953 announcing evening performances at 7 PM.
