The Cinémas Place Du Royaume opened on October 5, 1973 by Famous Players (Cinémas Unis). It was taken over by France-Film in 1977 and by Cineplex Odeon in 1987. The last operator was Cine-Enterprise. It closed in 1998 to make room for the new Odyssée cinemas.
