Nicholas Pilosi launched Pilosi’s Theatre on June 17, 1913 at the corner of Grace Street and S. Main Street in Old Forge. Branded as the “Home of Reel Photoplays”, Pilosi equipped the 500-seat theatre with a Wurlitzer organ. Nicholas' son, Louis, operated the theater launching with “Prisoner with Zenda”. Pilosi would also operate the Lincoln Theatre in Dupont.
The theatre didn’t convert to sound and began doing live events before Pilosi sold to the Scavo Brothers. Samuel Scavo equipped the Pilosi Theatre with sound to become the Home Theatre in 1931. A remodel reduced seat count to 450. The Home Theatre stopped advertising in 1939 but may have continued to 1944 before being converted to a retail store. It has since been razed.
