Original owner G.E. Prickett opened the Crystal Theatre in late-1912 which ran silent-films and vaudeville throughout its time. He operated the Crystal Theatre until February 22nd, 1917 when he sold the theatre to nearby Star Theatre proprietor and Gem Theatre owner R. W. Gracy, and ended up closing its doors.

The Crystal Theatre was constructed and contracted by its original owner G.E. Prickett and his sidekick C.H. Paine, and opened its doors on October 12, 1912 with the films “Rock Of Ages” and “An Adamless Eden”.
The theater building itself has a colonial designed rich effect with a steel ceiling. The original stage measures 12.3x10.6ft with an 11.9x8.7ft screen, the original seats being birch and dark green, and the original fireproof projection is a 1913-model Motiograph that can hold 2,000 feet of film. In the orchestra pit features Seybold piano with Dwight Goodwin as the pianist. The drums were played by Paul Rosell.
