The Eclipse Theatre was opened as nickelodeon theatre in 1912. In 1915 it was extended and in 1921 it was enlarged to seat 648. It is located across Fruit Alley beside the former Opera House (later known as the Waynesburg Theatre & Arts Center (which has its own page on Cinema Treasures). It was operated by Charles F. Silveus, who later also operated the Opera House until talkies arrived. In 1929 the Eclipse Theatre was given a new brick facade designed by architect Thomas S. Knox. It was closed in 1954.

The theatre has been gutted and has been renamed the Wilson Building, in which a bank operates.
