Addison Cinema 1 & 2 ad from the Chicago Sun-Times Thursday newspaper.

The Addison Cinema 1 & 2 opened on June 30, 1972 with “The Biscuit Eater” and a re-release of “The Graduate”. There were 425 seats in each auditorium. It was opened by the Cinecom chain, the first theatre in Chicagoland to be opened by that chain.

It appears to have closed in around 1981. By 1983, it had been demolished and the DuPage Medical Center was built on the site.

This was located right off of Lake Street and JFK Blvd in Addison, near Indian Trail Jr. High School. It was turned into an emergency medical center and I believe they are still using the same building to this day.
