The Zenith Theatre was located in the Bronx, W. 170th Street near Jerome Avenue. The theatre played second and third run films and had serials. The cost in the mid-1940’s was 25 cents.
It operated from at least 1941, into the late-1950’s

According to someone I know who was a kid in the 1940s going there, if you went before 10am, it was eleven cents to get in and the first 500 kids got comic books. There were always 2 movies and a serial. Once a year then, they would bring back King Kong and Gunga Din on the same bill.
My Grandparents used to take me to the movies every weekend at the Zenith. I’m a Grandmother myself now but I’m sure this was the theater. Can anyone tell me if it is near TREMONT Ave.?

No, it’s not near Tremont. That would be the Jerome Theatre (later renamed The Art Theatre). Tremont is about one mile North. The Zenith was down the road from The Luxor (170th just off the Concourse).
