The Roseville Drive-In opened on August 3, 1949, according to a front-page story that day in The Press-Tribune of Roseville. It was located between B and E Streets on 6th Street “on the site formerly considered for a cannery”.
The drive-in had a 16x20-foot screen, could handle 250 cars, and was run by Sandy Sanborn and Ellis Roskelley.
By the time of a July 22, 1954 USGS aerial photo, nothing remained of the drive-in. Today, a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses occupies the site or is across 6th Street from it.
