This new twelve-screen multiplex opened on 12th April 2019. The newspaper KilkennyNow.ie (18th April) reported that five screens were now open with more to follow in the coming weeks. A spokesperson for IMC said that the chain’s existing cinema in the town’s Gaol Street would remain open, but it later closed. No seating capacity was mentioned in the opening reports but a planning application, for a ten screen on the site, was for 1,444 seats.
