Cultureel Centrum Berchem

Located in the Berchem district of Antwerp. Opened in 1928 as the Corso Cinema. Elvis Presley in “Jailhouse Rock” was shown there in 1958, Sean Connery in “From Russia with Love” in 1965. In 1967 it became a cultural center with live shows and other cultural activities, also films in Cine Club circuit. Sometimes the Radio Modern organised a revival show with classic movies in 35mm prints and 1950’s party for this occasion, it is been called again Cinema Corso.

A special Christmas programme on 21st December 2019 presented a 35mm print of the film “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” starring Elizabeth Taylor, which was followed by a Christmas party with the dj playing 1950’s records.
