Inaugurated on 19th December 2018, the cinema Les 7 Batignolles opened in the newly created district between the Porte de Clichy and Pont Cardinet, a few steps from the new Palais de Justice in Paris. The seven-room complex is operated by Ciné Movida, an independent operator who also owns the 100-year-old Perpignan Le Castillet cinema as well as the Mega Castillet complex and, in Cholet, Ciné Movida. Directors Djamel Bensalah and Isaac Sharry joined the team of entrepreneurs to create this new Parisian cinema.
The seven cinemas of the Batignolles are arranged on three levels; a dining area with breath taking views of Martin Luther-King Park completes the visit to this resort that opts for refinement and elegance. The decorator Ana Moussinet, whose work focuses on corporate headquarters and luxury hotels, is working for the first time on a film project.
The foyers are sober, bright and dotted with greenery on the walls. The theatres are equipped with 7.1 sound and 2K or 4K full laser projectors. A prestigious room, the Sphera Room, features 352 seats with removable seats and the best technology to make the movie experience immersive: HDR laser projection EclairColor via a dual projector Sony Digital Cinema 4K SRX-R815DS4K, sound Dolby Atmos with Thor bass reinforcement, Ambi-LED technology that prolongs the color dynamics of the film on the side walls of the room … The Family room allows toddlers, and the older ones in the evenings, to benefit from Ciné-Baby in beanbags and chairs.

Ciné Movida, opérateur indépendant dont les racines sont à Perpignan, exploite le complexe assez exceptionnel Les 7 Batignolles non loin du palais de justice de Paris. Joan Font est le fondateur de ce véritable empire du cinéma qu' est devenu Ciné Movida. C' est en effet le 7 novembre 1911 que Joan font inaugure son cinéma, le cinéma Castillet à Perpignan, emblématique des Pyrénées Orientales et de toute la Catalogne. A la suite de l'Eden Théâtre à La Ciotat, le cinéma Castillet, avec ses 110 ans, est le plus ancien cinéma en France avec le vénérable cinéma du Panthéon à Paris V ouvert en 1907. De style art nouveau, le cinéma Castillet est entièrement construit en pierre; tous ses ornements de façade sont en céramique polychrome émaillée; sa marquise triple art nouveau surplombe les marches du seuil pour accueillir les spectateurs. Exceptionnel, le Castillet est inscrit au Patrimoine du XXè siècle ainsi qu' aux monuments historiques. Patrimoine précieusement conservé dans toute son authenticité originelle par les descendants de Joan Font, le cinéma Castillet, avec le cinéma L' Odyssée de Strasbourg (1913), le cinéma du Panthéon et l' Eden Théâtre, représente un vivant hommage aux géniaux inventeurs que furent les frères Lumière. Ces quatre cinémas français, constituent le panthéon des huit plus vieux cinémas du monde.
