Huntington Drive-In

Located on Route 22, the Huntington Drive-In was opened on July 17, 1952 with Clark Gable in “Across the Wide River” & Cary Grant in “Room For One More”. It was operated by W.E. Anderson. It was closed in 1985.

Today at 7625 Lake Rayston Shopping Center on the site operates a tractor supply company, fine wine and spirits, giant supermarket, and Woody’s Bar-B-Que now occupy the site with no trace of the drive-in remaining!

A closer address is 294 S 4th St, Huntingdon, PA, which is where the entrance and exit roads to the drive-in were located. It is the only part of the drive-in remaining.

A 1971 aerial shows the drive-in fully intact, but the aerial from 1972 shows the screen missing. It may have been replaced as topo maps up to 1989 show the drive-in still present.

Today, a large shopping center with several businesses sits on the property.
