Located in the Madeleine district to the west of the Paris Opera. The Cinetran was built and operated by the Cineac chain as a newsreel theatre. It opened in 1935 in the basement of a building. Later re-named Cineac Madeleine. By May 1970 it was re-named Cine Plaza and was screening Kung-Fu films. It ended its days as an adult cinema named Cine Plaza X which closed by early-1975.

Since November 2017 it operated as a popular nightclub named ‘The Key’ which by 2024 had been renamed La Nuit.
