Located in the Vilapicina district to the north of the city. The Venecia Cinema was opened on 17th February 1968 with Robert Stack & Elke Sommer in “The Corrupt Ones” (“Los Corrompidos”) (aka “The Peking Medallion”). Seating was provided for 1,000 in the orchestra and 463 in the balcony. It was equipped with 70mm projection and magnetic sterophonic sound. It was closed on 1st February 1987 and became a Jehovah’s Witness Assemby Hall and by 2018 has been converted into a Chinese church serving the Filipino community.
