Chacago Filmmakers opened their new location in Edgewater at a repurposed 1928 former fire station on N. Ridge Avenue on April 28, 2018, after four decades at the their location of N. Clark Street in Andersonville. The group acquired the long abandoned landmark structure in 2016 and have spent over $1 million in gutting and rebuilding the interior space, which now includes a 75-seat screening room.
