Chacago Filmmakers opened their new location in Edgewater at a repurposed 1928 former fire station on N. Ridge Avenue on April 28, 2018, after four decades at their location of N. Clark Street in Andersonville. The group acquired the long abandoned landmark structure in 2016 and have spent over $1 million in gutting and rebuilding the interior space, which now includes a 75-seat screening room.

The station was originally used for CFD Engine 59 and Truck 47 until its decommission in 2008.
