Boxoffice, Aug. 11, 1958: “Bob Trautman, whose Hill-Top Drive-In near Butler was closed about two seasons because of highway projects, reopened this spring.”

Re-opening a theater that has been closed for a half-century is no easy task.

Aerial photos show the drive-in appeared well-maintained into the early 1970s, so perhaps it remained opened or there was hope to re-open it.

Maybe someone could reopen this theater?

A more accurate address for this theater would be 124 Chicora Rd. Butler PA 16001.

Please update.

Wow, this one was quite the secluded ozoner. Pretty much nothing visible from the road due to A) It’s on a hilltop, thus the name, and B) Forest!

A closer address (at least for Google) is Chicora Road and Sullivan Road, Butler, PA. This address is close to the entrance road, which is on the south side and leads to the remains on the drive-in on Lick Hill.

The drive-in is overgrown, but still intact with the screen, concession stand/projection booth, and ramps still in place.
