It was rebuilt as a modern stage & screen theatre designed by architects Kluppenberg & Lichtenhahn with 1,452 seats. It opened on 12th March 1953 as the Ufa Theater am AEGI. It was closed in 1961 and the empty building was destroyed by fire in 1964.
