The K Theatre was built by Elmer Katz in the Buck-Middlesworth Building 1912. The K Theatre opened in 1913 primarily for movies though mixed in some vaudeville. The piano player was located in the back of the balcony. Patrons recall stopping by the long-running Blue Bird Candy Store two doors down prior to shows.

The K Theatre was extensively remodeled and equipped with RCA Photophore sound relaunching September 23, 1931. The theatre ended operation in 1936. The building was demolished.
