Kenneth Pletcher and Richard Sparks opened the Valley Drive-In just before or during the summer of 1950. Located on PA 711 in the unincorporated Saltlick Township community of Indian Head in Fayette County, about eleven miles east of Connellsville.
Exact opening and closing dates are unknown at this time; the Connellsville Daily Courier newspaper showed advertisements for the Valley Drive-In from July 1950 to July 1960. Today the site is overgrown with trees.
