Located in the Barry Dock area of Barry, South Glamorgan. A former Salvation Army hall was converted into a cinema by Leon Vint and it opened as Vint’s Electric Palace on 5th February 1910. A balcony had been added to the auditorium and variety acts were as part of the film programme, presented on a 10ft deep stage. The cinema advertised in seven languages to attract the various seafarers using Barry Docks.

In 1927 Leon Vint was declared bankrupt and his circuit was sold to new operators. It became known as the Palace Cinema (not to be confused in the Palace Cinema on Vere Street, in the Cadoxton district of Barry). It was equipped with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system around 1930. It was closed during World War II.
