Hub

The Hub Drive-In was opened on July 27, 1950 with Esther Williams in “Neptune’s Daughter”. It was operated by Fred McLendon. It was located Aabout 2 miles south of Robertsdale and nearly 2.5 miles north of Summerdale, this drive-in shows up on aerial photographs as late as 1967. It is actually 8 or more miles north of Foley, but that is the closest town in the drop-down menu.

A much closer address (at least for Google Maps) is Alabama 59 and County Road 48 S, Summerville, AL. The drive-in was located just to the south of the intersection on the west side of Alabama 59.

Today, it appears to be owned by Davis Nursery with no trace of the drive-in remaining. http://tinyurl.com/y7ryvkub
