The Riviera Cinema 12 opened in the mid-1990’s and closed in 2000. It reopened in 2002 as the Star Coast 12, but was closed in 2004. After suffering hurricane damage, it re-opened in 2005 as the Riviera Cinemas 12 and closed again in 2007.

It reopened on February 22, 20008, under new ownership after being closed for nearly eight months, the cinema was considered very clean and offered reasonable priced tickets. It closed in 2010.
