The Gilfillan Hall screened its first films on 29th January 1897. Films became a mainstay of its programming and on 25th February 1910 it was granted a Cinematograph Licence. It ceased showing film either during or just after the the end of World War I.
The building today is in use as the Gilfillan Memorial Church.
