Goldberg’s Gwynn Park Theatre opened October 1, 1914 and closed in April 1917 to become a garage. It was remodeled as a movie theatre opening April 25, 1941 as the Hilton Theatre. It closed again in 1951. It was situated right next door to the Windsor Theatre and across the street from the Walbrook Theatre. Too many theatres in one block for all to survive. Both the Hilton Theatre and Windsor Theatres are in good shape and have been reused as shops.
The former Hilton Theatre was repainted in 2003 but you can still see the vertical marquee supports on the roof of the old theatre.
