Located just behind the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and at the corner of S. University Avenue and Asher Avenue was the United Artists University Quartet Cinema. The theatre opened as the John Miller Twin Theatre on June 10, 1971 at the east end of a strip shopping center. In the 1970’s and 1980’s, there were then theatres at two of the four University/Asher corners with the UA 150 and UA’s Asher Drive-In Theatre, and this theatre.
UA took on the John Miller Twin and twinned each twin to become the University Quartet on July 20, 1973. The Southwest Regional Office of United Artists was located behind the Quartet to the north. The Asher closed in the 1980’s demolished in the next decade, the Quartet in the 1990’s, and the UA 150 in the 2000’s demolished in the next decade. Thus, the UA University Quartet had the distinction of holding on the longest in terms of sheer existence of property merely by sitting vacant in the strip shopping complex.

Actually, the Cinema 150 and Asher Drive-In were on the same southwest corner, separated by a strip mall. The UA Quartet was directly across Asher from the drive-in.
