The Asher Drive-In opened August 27, 1948 with a car capacity listed at 500. It was operated by Robb & Rowley United Inc., followed by United Artists in 1966 until its closing in the mid-1980’s.

The address for this drive-in was 5801 Asher Ave. The running track behind the shopping center on University is where the theater stood.
Please update.
Shouldn’t the address for this drive-in be either Highway 70B or Highway 5 since that is where the enatrance was. Asher is the small street in the aparatment complex.

Hwy 5 is Asher Ave. The mapping for that address puts the place mark in the center of the apartment complex, but Asher Ave is still the same as Hwy 5.
This opened on August 27th, 1948. Grand opening ad in the photo section.
The pathway remains the lot for more than 2 decades until it was completely demolished in 2011.
