Stone Theatres opened their sixth location, The Pointe 14, March 17, 2017, showing among other films, “Beauty and the Beast". Technical amenities include a PDX large format auditorium, Digital and 4K laser projection, Dolby Atmos and digital 7.1 sound.
Promoted as a family theater, no alcoholic beverages are sold, however patrons can indulge in pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken fingers, nachos and pretzels.
According to the Star News, Stone Theatres said due to the growing population there is room for this third theater in Wilmington.
Goppold Architecture designed the 2,300-recliner theater.
