Landmark Theatre

Located in the seaside resort of Ilfracombe, Devon. The Landmark was built in 1997 as a replacement to, and on the same site as the storm and fire damaged Victoria Pavilion (1888-1990). It opened in May 1998 and was designed by architectural firm Tim Ronalds Architects. The two auditoriums are located inside two innovative brick cone structures. The main auditorium (originally named Pavilion Theatre) has seating 464 in stalls & circle levels and as well as live theatre productions was equipped for cinema use. The smaller Winter Garden auditorium has seating 200.

The Landmark Theatre was closed suddenly on 23rd January 2017 due to lack of funding. The same operating company closed the Queens Theatre, Barnstaple on the same day.

On 23 January 2017, it was announced that the operator of the theatre, North Devon Theatres Trust, had gone into administration. Parkwood Theatres were appointed as a temporary operator until the end of March 2018.

On 23 November 2018, it was announced that Selladoor Worldwide had been awarded a ten-year contract to manage the venue.

In 2025 SellaDoor were awarded charitable status and were rebranded Landmark Theatres. In addition to the Ilfracombe and Barnstable venues they also run The New and the Key Theatres in Peterborough.
