Located in Baltinglass, County Wicklow. The Carlton Cinema was run by the Bradley family who came from Ulster in 1939 and bought Richard Marsh’s garage in 1942 for £250. It opened with a variety show for the local defence force on 7th March 1943 and closed in 1984 following the death of Ted Bradley. The last film to be screened was “The Warriors”. It has been converted into commercial use with apartments behind.
