There were actually two Limestone Drive-In’s. The first one opened on August 4, 1950 with Betty Grable in “Wabash Avenue”, located on what was then the West side of Route 219. Route 219 was then relocated over the original drive-in between the snack-bar and its screen.
As a result of the relocation of Route 219, the Limestone Drive was re-located with a new build on what was the East Side of relocated Route 219. The new Limestone Drive In was terraced into the side of a steep hill - similar to a Greek Amphitheatre or a balcony. The screen arose from the bottom of the hill. Each row (going up the hill) cleared the line of cars below it and had an unobstructed view of the screen. The hill was so steep it was always advisable when at the Limestone Drive In to engage the parking brake on your vehicle. It was closed in 1987.

In the 1960’s and later the Limestone Drive In was operated by Nino Bordinaro of Olean.
The Limestone Drive In closed in 1987.
Opened(original location) on 4/8/1950 with “Wabash Avenue”. Dating of closure of original location and opening of second location unknown? The snack bar at the original location is now used as a kitchen by VFW Post. The marquee is now used as an advertsing billboard on the east side of Route 219. The snack bar at the second location is now used as a auto repair shop, and the ramps are still there too( the rest has been demolished).
