Located in Selby, Yorkshire. The Roller Skating Rink was built and opened in 1909. The skating craze soon waned and for a while films were screened between skating sessions. In 1913 the building was owned by Richardson & Son, Auctioneeres and they altered the building to become the Central Picture Hall which opened 25th August 1913. Seating was provided for 650 and the proscenium was 27ft wide. It ran cine-variety as its programming.

The Central Picture Hall was equipped with sound in September 1930 when a British Acoustic(BA) system was installed. In 1939 it was closed for refurbishment and re-opened on 25th September 1939 with a reduced seating capacity of 595.

In 1955 it was equipped with CinemaScope. The Central Picture Hall closed as a cinema in August 1966 and it became a bingo club.
