Kings Hall

The Summer Gardens opened on 26th December 1906. Renamed Hippodrome in May 1908. Renamed Kings Hall in April 1910. Ceased screenings movies late in 1914. The hall was then used for dancing, roller skating, and sporting events. The hall was used as a munitions factory during World War II. After the war, the hall was as a furniture store(Ludin’s). Later the hall was used for a Harvey Norman store. Later the Harvey Norman store moved to a new location(part of the former Viewway Drive-In site). The site is now a motel(Views on Hannan), and(possibly a restaurant(Blue Monkey)?).
