The Rialto Theatre opened on September 8, 1917 and closed in 1930. It was owned and operated by the Paul J. Schlossman Corp. also owners of the State Theatre (Jefferson), Regent Theatre and Majestic Theatre in Muskegon.

Paul Schlossman’s Rialto, Regent, Majestic (1917 rebuild), and Michigan Theatres in Muskegon were all designed by C. Howard Crane. He also designed the Strand in Muskegon Heights.
