Fact: To Quote from Laurie Cunningham’s book “Frame by Frame” - A History of Brunswick’s Picture Theatre’s - The Padua lay idle for two years after the Italian language film screenings ceased. A large crack developed on the northern wall and the building was deemed to be unsafe. A demolition permit was granted in Jan 1982, and soon after the Padua was razed to the ground - Contributed by Greg Lynch for the sake of history -
