Located in the west of Cologne city centre, in a passageway off the street. The Lupe Kino was opened in 1949. When the Lupe 2 (now Turistarama) opened in 1968 it was re-named Lupe 1. It screened repertory seasons of classic films.
On 7th June 1985 it was re-named OFF Broadway and became an art-house cinema. It has been twinned, with 150 seats and 100 seats in the two auditoriums. Films are screened in their original language(VO) with German sub-titles. It has a café and beer garden for the convenience of its patrons. It is a member of the Europa Group of cinemas.
The owners also operate the Weisshaus Kino in the inner-city district of Sutz.
