The Liberty Theatre was opened in 1925. On January 13, 1954 it was renamed Plains Theatre. As is the case with so many of the old theatre buildings the Plains Theatre building has survived as of this writing (2016) and currently houses a CPA firm.

In 1925 there was a Liberty Theatre listed for Cross plains with the same seating listed, could the Plains have been one in the same? It was located on Main street also.
And the 1925 listing info is from?
Don, it was in taken from the Motion Picture Yearbook.
The Liberty Theatre was purchased by Dunlap & Smith on January 13, 1954 and its name changed to the Plains Theatre.
