Located in the city centre. The Universum was opened in 1933 and was designed by architect Martin Pietzsch and was located in the basement of the Rialto Kabarett. Seating was provided on orchestra and balcony levels.
The Universum and the Rialto Kabarett were totally destroyed by Allied incendiary bombs in raids which devastated the city on 13th & 14th February 1945.
