Located on I 20 next to the Outlet Shops of Grand River at Exit 140, Leeds Alabama, the Coyote Drive opened on Thursday, May 5, 2016.
This was the second location for this company. The first opened in 2013 in Fort Worth TX. The Coyote Drive-In was closed at the end of the 2018 season. It reopened on July 3, 2019 as the Grand River Drive-In, but closed on July 14, 2019 for improvements to be carried out. It was reopened for the 2021 season.

Didn’t all the equipment at this theater get auctioned off a few months ago?
AL.com reported yesterday, “Leeds’ Grand River Drive-In is planning a day of events to re-open the entertainment venue July 3. Formerly known as the Coyote, the Grand River Drive-In is just one facet of The Backyard at Grand River, a project of Hunter Lake, the developer behind the Avondale Brewing Co. and Saw’s.”
Re-opened as the Grand River Drive-In July 3, 2019 and closed July 14, 2019 for improvements which apparently were never completed.
