Savoy Theatre

The Electric Theatre was opened December 13, 1907. It became the Grand Theatre on November 14, 1911. OnMarch 31, 1917 it was renamed Broadway Theatre. On February 15, 1922 it was taken over by Wilby-Kincey and was renamed Savoy Theatre. It was closed in 1930.

The building was in use as a department store (Lipscomb-Gattis) in the 1950’s.

Here’s what’s I found for the Savoy theatre. * December 13th, 1907 opened as the Electric Theater

  • November 14th, 1911 reopened as Grand

  • March 31st, 1917 reopened as the Broadway Theatre.

  • February 15th, 1922 reopened by Wilby Kincey theatres as Savoy

  • 1930 closed
