This 6-plex located in Sikes Center Mall, Wichita Falls was opened by AMC in 1975. In 1997 it was renovated and expanded to 10 screens.
In the spring of 2016 AMC Theatres announced they will acquire all outstanding shares of Carmike Cinemas, the current owners of the mall theaters, for $1.1 billion.
This theater was still operated by Carmike but the place was modernized by AMC in the end of 2016 once AMC take over Carmike Cinemas movie theatres.

Where did the information come from that AMC was taking over Carmike? The Carmike website lists the address as 238 Sikes Center Mall.
Now an AMC Theatre once again. It’s new name is the AMC Classic Sikes Senter 10

AMC remodeled this whole theater with AMC’s Signature Recliners and MacGuffins bar. This theater is now renamed to AMC Sikes Senter 10
The AMC Sikes Center Six opened on October 29th, 1975. Grand opening ad posted.
On October 3rd, 1997, the Carmike Sikes 6 was expanded to ten screens (including two THX certified screens). Carmike Cinemas purchased it, along with the two Cineplex locations, on May 29th, 1992.
