Located in Alloa, Clackmannanshire. The Picturedrome was a conversion of the Corn Exchange, and opened as a cinema in 1915. It was operated by George Green. It was closed around 1924.
It underwent a remodel in 1925 and re-opened as the Central Picture House on 9th January 1926 with Pricilla Dean in “The Siren of Seville” and Larry Semon in “Golf”. In 1930 it was equipped with a RCA sound system. It was equipped with CinemaScope in 1955.
The Central Picture House was closed in 1962 and it became a Liptons supermarket. By the 1990’s a MacKays drapers occupied the site. In 2016 it is M&Co. Ladies & Gents clothing store.
