Theatre design based on the Steel Corrugated Box school of architecture. Plain and functional. The NorthStar Cinemas - Whitehall was opened on June 13, 1996 with Jim Carrey in “The Cable Guy”, Tom Cruise in “Mission Impossible” & Whoopie Goldberg in “Eddie”. It closed in early-September 2026.

Uploaded two additional photos to show how plain it really is.
Opened June 14th, 1996. They had plans to expand it to 6 screens, but the lot was too small. Grand opening ad posted.
Both NorthStar Cinemas locations are closing at the end of summer 2026:
